Twin Screw Extruder Is Used To Producemodified Starch
The modified starch (pre-gelatinized starch) production line uses corn starch, tapioca starch, potato starch, etc., as the main raw materials. A specially designed twin-screw extrusion system melts and gelatinizes the starch, then extrudes it in flake/granular form, followed by drying and grinding to produce the finished modified starch product.
After adding an appropriate amount of water, the starch undergoes transformation through high temperature and high pressure in the extruder and the shearing action of the twin screws, altering its natural characteristics (such as thermal viscosity, gel strength, and transparency), making it more suitable for specific applications.
